WE LAUNCH R100m TENDER PROJECT FOR SMEs WITH EZEEDEX
Empowermentsa has formed an alliance with Ezeedex in order to attain the following:
1. R100 million tenders available to SMEs:Research has shown that the biggest cause of failures of many enterprises, is limited and/or no access to markets. The empowermetsa/EZEEDEX alliance gives BEEs access to over R100 million procurement opportunities from government as well as the private sector.
By making tenders worth millions of rands freely available to SMEs we are increasing the chances of those SMEs gaining business experience and exposure to new opportunities. This will ensure that they create a business track record with the government that is what financiers consider favourably;
a. Previously, tenders have been available to SMEs according to their location. Through this initiative, SMEs across the various provinces get exposed to same opportunities and can form consortia for such opportunities;
b. Similarly, procurement managers have had to advertise in different publications in order to find suitable suppliers. Now, they only use one channel and can reach BEEs according to the BEE’s qualification.
c. Tenders that are considered “less technical” are publicized in many publications that are widely available, whereas those considered “more technical” are published in specialized publications. The Empowermentsa initiative brings that to a stop because people, across the country, will get tenders according to their capabilities. For instance, the Coega project in the Eastern Cape can benefits immensely from expertise that is currently based in the Gauteng’s East Rand.
2. Marketing of BEEs to over 60 000 decision makers
This is the best marketing opportunity for BEEs. Having joined the Empowermentsa/ezeedex alliance, BEEs are exposed and marketed to over 60 000 decision makers. Even at minimal marketing cost, many of these BEEs will get maximum exposure to people that matter the most. These are procurement managers, buyers, white companies looking for BEE partners, funders looking to form consortia, BEE consortia looking for broad-based partners, etc. all this is available to BEEs, especially those in outlaying areas who have envied Gautengers because that is where all deals have traditionally been struck.
We believe that this will also help many companies that want to shortlist BEEs for their development programmes.
3. Marketing of BEEs to the international markets
If one were to use the Fortune top 100, we have realized that many leading global companies are not yet in Africa. We want these companies to use South Africa as their launch pad into Africa.
Many leading BEE personalities have international exposure and contacts, we want them to use these for the African economic renaissance. The foreign partners will bring the much needed skills to south Africa
These and other issues can be discussed at any time. BEEs wanting to register can log onto www.Empowermentsa.co.za or call me at Ezeedex:
